I have been to a lot of places and been around the world a few times but Mtn Home always felt like home. It seemed that if we were on base for more than 8 months something was wrong and maintainers got anxious. But when it came down to getting out of town we all pulled together and made things happen. As Lt Col Lawhead always said we perfected the technique of "Turning the enemy into Hair, Teeth, and Eyeballs". Hopefully that tradition will carry on with the Eagles.
Current or Favourite assignmentIt is a toss up between Mtn Home and EielsonDeploymentsDhahran- Mar 96-July 96 EF-111ALajes Field Jan 97 EF-111A Bahrain- Mar 98-June 98 F-16's PSAB- June 02-Sept 02 F-16's Philippines Aug 05- Sept 05 OV-10's Kirkuk Iraq Jan 06- April 06 TA Some I do not like to talk about and others I can not talk about. But I want to thank God, my wife, kids, Lt Col Bob St.Marie (F-111 pilot extrodinare and cousin), Col William "BA" Andrews, MSgt Dwight Andresen (Ret), Major Bob "Pardo" Kelly, MSgt Mark Rupprecht (Ret.), SSgt Brian McCoy, SSgt John "John John" Hatfield, Capt Nate "Shaggy" Aysta, and Capt Rob "Uno" Troy for keeping the spirits up and getting me through the hard times. And I can not forget about SSgt Chad Marks for giving me crap and putting up with mine. Thanks Brother. |

66-0041 was my first EF-111A. She was a fabulous jet for dropping electrons. Alot better than 66-0057 which I crew'd in Dhahran when we got blown up. you can now see 66-0057 at Wright Patt.

This was by far the best F-16 in the inventory. June through Dec 1998 Pardo (My pilot) and myself had the best FMC rate in ACC which was 98.7% for six consecutive months. Him being an 'ole F-4 crew chief he knows that you need to rub those "Sweet spots" every once in awhile.

I was the last Operations Group crew chief to crew this jet. May she rest in peace. I turned the jet over to Souza when Chief Bauer wanted to make it the Squadron jet instead of the OG. In which Craig got the better deal because I then took over 91-0392 as the Ops Group jet. So it was his flash light not mine.
