1943... A B-17 pilot got shot down over Bremen, but bails out, on landing he breaks his right leg when he is captured they decide to amputate the limb. He makes the request that after they amputate it they drop it over his base in England.

So they do it,

Afterwards it becomes apparent that they have to cut off his other leg, after he got a really bad infection, and once again he says that after they are finished cutting it off they drop it over his base in England

So they do it,

After that they have to cut off his arm, so once again he asks that after they are don cutting it off that they would drop it over his base in England

This time they say "Nein! This we cannot do anymore"

And he says "why not?"

And they say "We think you are trying to escape!"
