Aircraft was sent over during Desert Shield for the 33rd TFS but was taken from the 19th TFS. This upset some of the 19th TFS as it was their flag ship and it was immediately converted to the 33rd TFS markings. So a whimsical cartoon cock was painted for nose art. Flew 46 missions in Desert Storm. Nose art is woman riding bomb. When the 363rd TFW returned home from Desert Storm in March of 1991 four aircraft kept their nose art for the Shaw AFB open house. The other three aircraft were with nose art: "Desert Shield", "Sweet . . . But "Deadly" and "Code One Candy" which Warren Trask touched up before the show. All nose art but "Hammer Time" was removed right after the air show and it survived into the next unit which attempted to preserve it. The art was of a 363SPS (Security Police Squadron) lady name Jennifer Krentz.
84315 USAF 10 TFS 84-1315 "Sabre One" "10 TFS/AMU" Dec 1990 Details
This is the original aircraft to wear the 'Sabre One' nose art drawn on with colored grease pencils by USAF Charles Arroy. Sabre One art was also applied to 84-1310, the boss bird, but painted after the war as 84-1310 did not go. MSGT Charles Arroyo advises one can tell the difference in the nose art by how far the cloak comes down the panel. Aircraft 84-1310, the second one drawn, the cloak came to the bottom of the aircraft panel. The first Sabre One cloak didn't come to the bottom so left room for small text of "To the Men And Women of the FIGHTIN' TENTH."
