While with the 421st at Hill AB from '81 - '83, this aircraft suffered from a cronic FLCS problem, had a recurring "P" light tthat couldn't be duplicated on the ground, this jet was a "cann" bird more than it flew when it was with the 421st, in '84ish, the jet then went to the 34th and the FLCS problems came back. GD sent a team up from Ft. Worth and the problem wound up being a ground stud was not properly bonded so anytime the aircraft pulled any g's in the right direction the ground stud would come loose the light would come on the once the g's went away everything went back to normal.

C-17,GLCM, B-2, F-22 and F-23 photo chase and test. My jet was doing photo chase when the first Lightening now called F-22 Raptor crashed on the Edwards runway. We were watching the 2 jets pass by from the dorms. The F-22 was doing touch and go's. It dissappeared behind a hanger and never came out from the otherside. The pilot lived. Flight control problem. Very lucky it happened while doing touch n go's.
