A storm hit Nellis AFB, Nevada on September 8, 2011 at just after 5pm causing a row of aircraft sunshelters to fall striking aircraft and injuring airman. In total eleven F-16s including this one and two A-10s were damaged.

I also was the Dedicated Crew Chief on this aircraft. It was initially a Test Side jet, painted the traditional gray colors, however, it was then turned into an Aggressor and painted in the light blues colors of the Migs. It was the first of several Block 52 D-Model Aggressor. I believe that it was in 2000 when we launched all of our Flagships to fly over the Hoover Dam in Nevada. During that launch a combat photographer flew in the aft cockpit and photographed all the Flagships flying over the Dam.
