Collided with F-16C (88-0403) and crashed at Kunsan AFB, South Korea. After the pilot, Major Mark Moore, ejected, the aircraft slided down on the runway with the gear torn off but was thought to have been a complete write-off. The aircraft received a landing clearance, while the other was taking off at the same time. The pilot of 88-0403 was able to land his plane with some damage to the left leading edge flap of the wing between stations no. 1 & 2 .

Many great friends and times. Not a big fan of the area. I commuted daily from West Palm Beach, FL (96 miles each way) instead of living in the area. We enjoyed many Miami Dolphins games together. Great tailgaiting parties. We had some good tdys. I worked for a great boss, Lance Robertson. Played great practical jokes on Jeff Dean.. Good Times...

I probably learned more about my job on this F-16 then any other one, mainly because it was broke all the time or because I was stationed at Kunsan. As Bull mentioned it was high flyer in the ORI though so it performed when it counted the most. I also was on alert duty with it and it performed great. I just read it survived a crashed landing around 2009, even after the pilot ejected. It had a few nicknames, all related to having 3 sixes on the tail.

93rd Fighter Squadron "Makos" 2013-2022

Many years on this bird as DCC. She killed 403 with a single punch, therefore the nickname "Jet Norris" was well deserved. Took her to Afghan 2014. Many confirmed kills. Towards the end she was so beat down I dubbed her "The Nuclear Weapon" because we only used her when absolutely necessary. She tried to kill me in 2015. Canopy wouldn't operate during a Low Energy Ignition ops check when a cockpit fire broke out. Almost jettisoned the canopy. Luckily we had a -60 hooked up and we got the canopy to activate with AC power applied. She's always had electrical issues. Flies great other than that. I blame E&E for her shortcomings on a daily basis. 2016 and 2019 she was also in Afghan. Sadly I didn't go. She was one of the last F-16's in Afghan before the pull-out.
