I remember in 2005 this POS blew a tire on take off at Luke AFB and destroyed the right strake panel. I also remember it diverting to Gila Bend for loss of Hyd pressure that was caused by a leaking speed brake actuator.

in 2004, someone at the phase dock didn't do a proper throttle rig and we just about set the whole ass end on fire when we started her up. Throttle cable was somehow set to 80% when throttle arm was set at idle. On acceptance run, when we went over the horn, a 15 foot flame flew out the exhaust like a torch. Emergency shut down and fire crews showed up. We asked them how they knew about it cause we hadn't called it in yet. They said, "The tower called us in... they said they saw a GLOW over at the 62nd." HA! Took a few minutes to put the flames out on the turkey feathers and part of the speed breaks... then snuffed the flames inside the motor with exhaust and intake plugs. Worst Jet I've ever worked on. It had more down days then flight days. This jet HATES to fly! She'll make you think you're G2G then she'll shell out a pump or pop a tire when she gets to pre-flight EOR. Worst Jet Ever...
