F-16C
Block 25
Was marked 'F-16C No 1' on delivery. F-16C 83-1118 was also marked 'F-16C No 1' on the fuselage but that was the first production F-16C. This F-16 83-1121 was the first F-16 delivered to an operational unit. The aircraft quickly went to the paint barn to get 312th TFTS commander markings added, but the 'F-16C No 1' remained for a while.
I crewchiefed 83-1121 its entire time at the 184TFG in Wichita Ks, it was the oldest F16C/D that we had in the unit. It was truely a great F16-C in that it was one of those jets that just seemed to want to fly every day.
It got the nickname 'Hawg Heaven' from my favorite pilot Art Harrison (callsign Hawg). He flew my jet every time he got the chance.
I hated to see her go but we were transitioning to the B1B.
OLDEST JET IN FLEET! Just moved to it form 83184, gonna hate to see it go
