Canada accepts first C-130J

Canada formally accepted the first of 17 Lockheed C-130J Super Hercules aircraft at ceremonies at Marietta, Georgia and at Canadian Forces Base in Trenton, Ontario on June 4, 2010.
Well known C-130 W2 XV-208 has a long history at Boscombe Down as a weather research aircraft. Over the years it was heavily modified to carry such equipment. It has now been unmodified and become an engine test bed for the A400M TP400-D6 engine.
The 418th Flight Test Squadron and 772nd Test Squadron recently began testing the ALR-56M radar warning receiver in the C-130J Hercules at the Benefield Anechoic Facility.
Lockheed Martin is in the process of installing a new system on WC-130J ‘Hurricane Hunter' aircraft that will greatly enhance the accuracy of data collected during storm tracking missions.
Lockheed Martin has delivered the 150th C-130J Super Hercules built to date. The milestone aircraft is the eighth and final C-130J assigned to the 146th Airlift Wing, the California ANG unit at Channel Islands Air National Guard Base near Oxnard.
Boeing launched the second Avionics Modernization Program (AMP) C-130 for the first time on March 25 at Lackland AFB, Taxes. This program is largest avionics upgrade ever performed on a C-130.
Lockheed Martin has received an initial $128 million from the United States government as part of a $256.2 million contract for three C-130J-30 combat delivery aircraft for the U.S. Air Force and one KC-130J tanker for the Marine Corps.

Lockheed Delivers 2300th C-130

Lockheed Martin delivered the C-130 at its facility in Marietta, Georgia in ceremonies today. The milestone aircraft, a KC-130J Super Hercules tanker for the United States Marine Corps, was accepted by Major General Samuel T. Helland, Commanding General of the Third Marine Aircraft Wing at MCAS Miramar, California.

Lockheed Martin has rolled out the 2300th C-130 Hercules from its assembly line in Marietta, Georgia. The milestone aircraft is a KC-130J tanker destined for the United States Marine Corps.

First Modified KC-130T is Delivered

Lockheed Martin hosted a ceremony to mark the delivery of the first upgraded KC-130T aerial refueling aircraft to the United States Marine Corps at its Donaldson Site Operations facility in Greenville, South Carolina.
Lockheed Martin officials briefed reporters attending the Farnborough International Air Show on how the C-130J Super Hercules transport aircraft is both delivering capability to meet modern threats and is an active participant in crisis relief operations around the world.
