388th AMXS recognized by headquarters

Airmen in the 388th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron were honored with Air Combat Command's mid-sized Aircraft Maintenance Effectiveness Award in November, highlighting the unit's work to generate F-16 sorties during training and deployments.

522nd Fighter Squadron inactivates

The 522nd Fighter Squadron encased its colors, in preparation of storing the squadron legacy until it is again needed by the Air Force, December 21st 2007 in Hangar 208 after its final passes over Cannon AFB, N.M.
While on a visit to Minnesotas Duluth ANG air base on Thursday, Senator Amy Klobuchar focused on the issues facing the base in relation to the replacement of the F-16s of the 148th FW.
No midnight kisses, confetti or Auld Lang Syne, just battle dress uniforms and flight suits as a handful of "Makos" from the 93rd Fighter Squadron watched the New Year's revelry on TV from the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) alert facility at Homestead Air Reserve Base.
