More than 250 Airmen and 14 F-16 Fighting Falcons from Aviano Air Base returned from a training mission to Zaragoza Air Base, Spain, March 27.
The 79th Fighter Squadron 'Tigers' launched eight F-16 Fighting Falcons during a day and night time mission to kickoff of Red Flag 13-3 on February 25.

A detachment of F-16 Fighting Falcons from the Dutch Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) is conducting combat training exercises in conjunction with Marine Corps Air Station Yuma based squadrons over Barry M. Goldwater Range West, Feb. 3 – 23.
"You can't walk into the Super Bowl with a new team," said Master Sgt. Brian McRory, 480th Fighter Squadron superintendent, "The team has to have worked together and have chemistry."
The 421st Fighter Squadron from Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is participating in the U.S. Marine Corps Integrated Training Exercise Jan. 21-Feb. 2.

480th FS tackles both Red & Green Flags

Pilots, maintainers, support people and F-16 Fighting Falcons from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, are participating in both Red Flag 13-2 and Green Flag 13-3 until Feb. 1. This is the first time the 480th Fighter Squadron has participated in both flag exercises at the same time.

132 FW to potentially lose 21 F-16s

The 148th FW deploys to Afghanistan

The 148th Fighter Wing deployed approximately 300 members to Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan over the period of August 5th-11th in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
"Last week we received a deployment order tasking nearly 300 of our Bulldogs of the 148th Fighter Wing to go serve at Kandahar Air Field, in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom," said 179th Fighter Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Chris Blomquist during a press conference at the 148th Fighter Wing June 28, 2012.
Pilots from the 14th Fighter Squadron are training on close air support April 30 through May 17 at Misawa Air Base and Draughon Range, Japan, in support of the Diesel Weasel Exercise.
February marked the start of a historic journey for the 124th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron composed of Airmen from the 132nd Fighter Wing, Iowa Air National Guard.
