Greece to acquire more F-16s?

Last year Greece decided to scrap their agreement with the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) to buy 60 Eurofighter jets. The Greek press is now speculating the government may choose the LMTAS F-16 instead.
The US military lost significant amounts of training time because illegal immigrants from Mexico constantly wandered onto a bombing test range in Arizona.

Chavez blames U.S. for F-16 parts delay

Dutch F-16s to patrol Baltic sky

Four Dutch F-16 fighter jets will replace their Norwegian colleagues to patrol the airspace of three Baltic states from April through June, Lithuania's Defense Ministry said Wednesday.
Fifteen years after blocking sales of F-16s to Pakistan due to its nuclear weapons program, the U.S. government approved the sale of 24 new F-16s to Pakistan. The aircraft are rumored to be Block 52 models.

U.S. Air Force receives last F-16

The US Air Force has received the last of 2,231 F-16 (#01-7053) fighters manufactured for the service, the Air Force's Aeronautical Systems Center announced on Thursday.
Croatia intends to buy used F-16 fighter jets by 2010 for its armed forces, Anton Tus, Croatia's ambassador at NATO, was quoted by the daily Jutarnji list as saying Saturday.
NATO forces faced a Cold War of their own during exercises in Norway. Battle Griffin is a Norwegian invitational exercise with 14,000 participants from 15 nations. The main objective is to practise the Deployed Forces Concept.

JASSM successful in flight test

A Lockheed Martin Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM), the world's first stealthy cruise missile, was successfully launched Thursday from an F-16 aircraft and precisely navigated through its first verification flight test at White Sands Missile Range, NM.

Brazil cancels jet fighter upgrade plans

Brazil canceled its plans to spend $700 million on at least 12 new fighter jets to upgrade its air force. This is a blow for Lockheed who offered 12 F-16 Fighting Falcons.

Belgian F-16s train with French KC-135s

From February 21st till February 25th a KC-135FR tanker from the French Armée de l'Air will be stationned at Kleine Brogel AB, Belgium for qualification training of Belgian F-16 pilots and French KC-135 boom operators in in-flight refueling procedures.

AGE Airmen keep ground mission running

The 332nd Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron's aerospace ground equipment (AEG) flight Airmen are a vital part of the mission at Balad air base, Iraq. The Airmen monitor the equipment for all aircraft there including the RQ/MQ-1 Predator unmanned aerial vehicles and F-16 Fighting Falcons.

First F-16 block 60s to UAE in May

The UAE will take delivery of a first batch of the highly sophisticated multi-role Block 60 F-16s in May this year, the UAE Air Force Commander disclosed in an interview on the occasion of IDEX 2005.
