Lockheed Martin Simulation, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $7,2 million contract to provide for F-16 maintenance training for the Israeli Air Force.
Elisra Electronic Systems has begun deliveries of electronic warfare (EW) systems for Israel Air Force (IAF) F-16I jets. The contract is estimated to be worth $250 million for deliveries through 2008.

Elbit Systems wins US Air Force contract

Elbit Systems announced that its wholly owned subsidiary EFW Inc. of Fort Worth, Texas, had been awarded a $32.6 million firm fixed price contract by the US Air Force's Ogden Air Logistics Center to provide Common Data Entry Electronics Units (CDEEU).
Poland's Ministry of National Defense has selected Goodrich Corporation's DB-110 airborne reconnaissance system for use on F-16 fighters.

U.S. sells AIM-9M-2 missiles to Egypt

The U.S. Defense Department has awarded Raytheon Systems a $54 million contract for the procurement of 596 AIM-9M-2 Sidewinder missiles to Egypt and Taiwan under the Foreign Military Sales program.
Lockheed Martin is being awarded a $5million contract to provide for an avionics test station for the F-16 Fighting Falcon. At this time, $1,7million of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete February 2006.
Anaren Microwave Inc., based in East Syracuse, has been selected to receive a contract in excess of $11.0 million from Raytheon for Digital Radio-Frequency (RF) Memory subsystems used in the Raytheon AN/ALQ-187 internal (RF) jammer.

Israeli and U.S. firms sign accord

An Israeli and U.S. firm signed an accord for the development and marketing of training and other systems relating to the F16 Fighting Falcon.
Radstone Technology has been selected by the Goodrich Corporation to supply computer products for the Poland Peace Sky F-16 reconnaissance program.

Lockheed to cut F-16 workforce

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. will be cutting 700 to 1,000 jobs from the F-16 Fighting Falcon program over the next few months as the Fort Worth-based company moves out of the development and initial production phases for the aircraft.
Alliant Precision Fuze Co. has been awarded a $8 million contract modification to provide for 7,078 additional DSU-33B/B proximity sensors. This is a nose-mounted Radio Frequency Proximity sensor used on the M117 and MK-80 series general-purpose bombs and the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM).
The Boeing Co.'s St. Louis operations have been awarded a $37.3 million contract for a Low Rate Initial Production 4 (LRIP 4) of the joint helmet mounted cueing system.
United Technologies, Connecticut, is being awarded a $19.6 million contract to provide for 26,141 turbine blade set, applicable to the F100-220/220E engine. This engine is applicable to the F-15 and F-16 aircraft.
Pratt & Whitney's (P&W) Military Aftermarket Services (MAS) group received a follow-on contract from the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to provide overhaul and repair support, including contractor furnished material, for their fleet of F100-PW-229 engines powering F-15E and F-16C/D fighters.
Raytheon has been awarded a $140 million contract for production of the Joint Stand-off Weapon (JSOW) for the US Navy and US Air Force. The contract includes 315 JSOW-As (231 for the Navy and 315 for the Air Force) and 97 JSOW-Cs (for the Navy) as well as a significant number of test assets.
