The award is a folow-up order to a previous AIM missile contract with Cairo.

Under the award, Raytheon will supply missiles to both Egypt and Taiwan. Egypt will obtain 414 AIM-9M-2 missiles and Taiwan will receive 182 missiles.

Additionally, Raytheon won five separate competitive contracts totaling $7.9 million to produce PavewayII Laser Guided Bomb component kits to be delivered to Egypt, South Korea, Taiwan, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, among others.

The AIM-9M Sidewinder, a short range air-to-air missile used by the United States and its allies, will be manufactured at Raytheon's Andover and Tucson, Ariz., facilities. Primary work on the Paveway II's will be completed at those two facilities and another in Sherman, Texas.
