RSL Electronics wins $340,000 order from USAF

September 16, 2003 (by Lieven Dewitte) - The Israeli company RSL Electronics announced today that it received an order to supply 28 engine starting system controllers for F-16s to the US Air Force.
The order is valued at $340,000.

The RSL DESSC (Diagnostic Engine Starting System Controller) is a digital replacement for the original engine starting system (ESS) controller of the F-16 aircraft.

RSL?s DESSC is characterized by an improved jet fuel starter (JFS) control logic and powerful diagnostic capabilities.

According to RSL, the DESSC significantly improves the engine starting system performance and reliability.
