July 10, 2003 (by Lieven Dewitte) - The Senate bill is amended to include to $20 million toward new engines for three squadrons of Air National Guard f-16 fighters The Senate Appropriations Committee passed its version of defense spending legislation for the coming fiscal year Wednesday, calling for two fewer Sikorsky helicopters than the House of Representatives, but an added $20 million for F-16 fighter engines built by Pratt & Whitney.
