The RSAF is in Canada for a massive 13-day air exercise at Cold Lake, Alberta, which began on Sunday. Singapore is one of 11 countries particpating in exercise Maple Leaf.
The
RSAF has deployed 150 personnel and 10 F-16 aircraft from its detachment in Arizona to Canada for this exercise. Another 26 people and a refuelling tanker from its detachment in Kansas will also be taking part.
"This exercise will allow the pilots to train under a realistic and challenging environment and also serves as a platform to enhance the defence relations between
Singapore and the participating countries", said a Mindef spokesman.
