The Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) has awarded Thomson-CSF Comsys a contract to equip its F-16 combat aircraft with the TLS 2010 Multi Mode Receiver (MMR), an all-new airborne radio navigation system.
The contract covers the supply of TLS 2010s in VOR/ILS/Marker/MLS/D-GPS configuration, with delivery scheduled for early 2001. The TLS 2010 provides VOR en-route navigation aids and landing aids including ILS (Instrument Landing System) with associated MARKER functionality, MLS (Microwave Landing System), GPS (GPS Landing System) and D-GPS (differential GPS). The TLS 2010 is compatible with ARN-108, ARN-127, ARN-144 and ARN-147 VOR/ILS equipment, thus offering a smooth upgrade path to new civil aviation standards.
