Singapore F-16s exercise with Australian F-18s

October 12, 1997 (by Lieven Dewitte) - Singapore and Australia are taking part in a joint annual air force exercise from October 10-24. Some 400 officers from Singapore will take part in the exercise, codenamed exercise Pitchblack.

It would take place at bases at Tindal and Darwin in northern Australia. Fifty aircraft, including F-16 fighters from Singapore and F-18 Hornets from Australia, will take part in the drill.
