Turkey considers purchase of new F-16s
January 11, 1998 (by Lieven Dewitte) - The Turkish air force is seeking to buy 40 US-made F-16 fighter aircraft in response to a Greek decision to purchase similar sophisticated warplanes.

Apart from the F-15, Greece is also weighing other options, including the US-made F-16 and French and Russian aircraft.
