Lockheed Martin, signed agreement on Tuesday with Turkey's aviation companies on F-35 Lightning II fighter aircraft program's production, sustainment and follow-on development.
Lockheed Martin signed the agreement with
Turkey's ALP Aviation, ASELSAN and Kale Aviation within the scope of the 9th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF'09) in Istanbul.
Tom Burbage, the vice president of Lockheed Martin and director general of F-35 Program, delivered a speech at the signing ceremony and said that Turkish defense industry would be one of the most important service providers of F-35 program and Turkey had an extraordinary industrial power.
Turkish Defense Industry Undersecretary Murad Bayar said this project would make great contributions to the Turkish defense industry.
