The 51st Fighter Wing pilots will conduct combined air combat training through May 25 as part of the annual series of exercises.

, Alaska, participated in the second iteration of Exercise Commando Sling Jan. 8 - 26.
The fourth and final iteration for 2007 is scheduled for July and will include F/A-18 Hornets from the Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan.
The annual Commando Sling series began in 1990 and allows U.S. and Singaporean air forces to "sharpen their air combat skills, improve procedures for sustained operations at a non-U.S. base, and enhance military partnerships between the two nations," according to an Air Force news release.
