Danish F-16 pilot reaches 4,000 flying hours

Max "Max" Vilhelmsen, leader of the Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) at Skrydstrup FSN, passed the 4,000-hour mark in the F-16 today during a training mission with F-15 Eagles from the 493rd FS currently at Skrydstrup.
Max Vilhelmsen, 58 years, now joins a select club of 13 other pilots who accumulated more than 4,000 flight hours in the F-16. He achieved this about 11 years after passing the 3,000K mark.

Major Mike Brill (USAF) became the first pilot ever to reach 4, 000 flight hours in the Fighting Falcon. He achieved this milestone on August 21, 1998, in a block 30 F-16C at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
Update: Major Vilhelmsen was scheduled to pass the 4,000 hours on Tuesday the 5th but he had to wait untill the 7th due to bad weather.

- 2,000 - Jul 1990
- 3,000 - Jan 1996
- 4,000 - Dec 2006
