428th FS ativated at Cannon

December 21, 1998 (by Lieven Dewitte) - The 428th Fighter Squadron activated on Nov 12, 1998 at Cannon AFB. The unit is a joint Republic of Singapore and USAF squadron and was formed under the Peace Carvin III program.

It provides training to RSAF personnel. In a previous life, the 428th was the 428thTFS at Nellis AFB, where it was disbanded end 1988.
