It's my honor to be the first to leave comments. Always taking the time out to aknowledge and show appreciation to your maintaniners was deeply appreciated. Regrettably, we never really got to show you that. The day of your accident stunned us in the 18FS. We miss you. I am proud to have served with you. God bless. Tell Maj Verdone hello for us!

16 years is a long time. May you continue to rest in peace. Of course, your mother helped raise me. It is sad to see you go, but I want you to know that I miss your entire family. You were my role model and I continue the tradition of flying military aircraft, like you and your father did before.

Thank sir for your service, you were, and still are, dearly missed.

Verdone and I processed into Eielson together. This was my first mishap as the QA chief charged with helping reassemble the wreckage. It was tough to see the families afterwards, but it was tougher still putting pieces together and reading the final report of why. How some live while others don't is the mystery yet to be unraveled. I hope by leaving a message, somehow just two people thinking about Scotty and Bob will make the heaven twinkle just a little where they're at. You know the place, where the great mysteries are all solved.
