In Memoriam

Hans was my uncle. They also called him Ted.

I was only 1 year old when he crashed, as far back as I can remember I always wanted to be an F-16 pilot, but I had to give up on my dream when I was about 16 years old. His person; his career; and his death have had a very large impact on our small family. Up to today, almost 35 years later, we still think about this. My grandma (his mom) never really got over it. Right before she died, my grandma gave me his collection of flight suit badges he collected when he was a kid.
