Technical Sergeant Stanley A. Mills

28 October 2001

TSgt. Mills was born in rural Iowa on May 4th, 1941. He enlisted in the Air Force after graduating highschool in 1959. His initial enlistment was spent maily in Spain and ended in 1963. In 1981 - after the birth of his youngest son - he joined the Air Force Reserves and was assigned as an F-105 Wild Weasel crew chief for the 466th TFS of the 419th TFW. When the "Thud" was retired in 1984 the 466th got F-16s and TSgt. Mills loved only his family more than maintaing the Falcon. He worked on the Viper until his retirement in May of 2001. Unfortunately TSgt. Mills was diagnosed with a brain tumor and died six months later at the age of 60.
