Lt Col Velazquez was a fine man and my friend. He lived near me in Orlando and traveled to Homestead ARB for 15 years. I was quite saddened by his sudden death and was looking forward to seeing him at my Official Retirement Ceremony in Dec 2009 at Homestead. You will not find a finer "Mustang" Officer in any branch of the Armed Forces. He was a true Hero and National Treasure!

Myself and his family miss him greatly,

With the Greatest Respect and Admiration,

Peter L. Burch, Maj, USAFR, (Ret)

You were a Great husband, father, and friend!

It's been over a year and your family and I still miss you greatly! I think about you frequently and am very surprised that I am the only one that has left a comment. I know you had many more friends than me. Enjoy your better life I will see you again I'm sure.

With love and respect,

Peter L. Burch, Maj, USAFR (Ret.)

formerly SSgt/Egress
