So sorry for your loss
Pete Mudrow, Sep 30, 2009 - 08:00 PM

I just wanted to say I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I actually live in Layton Utah, where my house is right under the flight path of all Aircraft's leaving Hill Air Force Base. I've always been so jealous of those flying for the Air Force, as I too am a pilot, but my eye sight has only allowed me to fly recreational Air Crafts.

I new something was wrong over this last weekend because I noticed all flights leaving Hill had stopped. I can't even imagine how difficult this all must be the Houghton Family.

My Prayers are with you.

RIP Smack

Smack was a good dude

He was my instructor in T-6 training at Laughlin AFB. Flew my first night ride with him and he made fun of me for telling the tower good night after we landed.

Flew on a x-country with him to Phoenix and what a great trip. I'll never forget we got a little rowdy at the bars around ASU and he pushed me in a fountain. I have that picture and it'll always make me laugh. I think my cell phone shorted out.

Smack was a great fighter pilot and I'll always remember you dude!! God bless and RIP!!
