20 July 2008

For those of you reading this, if you remember the name, you remember the man. Lost in Florida, found in heaven. Vic was a loving person and considered all his friends close. His character made you want to be around him, and his energy kept you motivated. You will be missed and Im sure many will keep you close to their hearts. I hope you have found peace but make no mistake, you'll never be forgotten.

Vic my Buddy,

I am back at Balad where I was blessed to be your friend for 4 short months. I can't help think of what a good man you are. Always cheerful and caring for others. You made my deployment enjoyable last year and I often think of you and how proud you were of your little girls. God Bless you Vic

You are greatly missed; one of the greatest APG expeditors I've worked with. I often think back on the good times at Misawa and the Spec/APG water wars in Balad. Irreplaceable! God bless you and your family.

You were a good and honest man who is missed by many. The black heart that stole your soul can no longer hurt you. Rest in peace brother.

Its been years, but I can still easily recount your RIDICULOUS way of making your presence known when entering a room. You had a very special way of making anyone feel welcomed and that they had a friend in you. You are still missed, but never forgotten.

Without you

Without you I wouldn't have came out if my shell in tech school.

Without you, I wouldn't have made so many friends in Korea

Today I learned of your passing. I wish I could have been there in your time if need. I will forever remember you! Miss you!

It is what it is...

Don't even know what to say. I still think about you a lot. Speaking at your memorial service was honestly one of the hardest things I've had to do in my life. You don't even know how many people respected you, looked up to you and just flat out enjoyed you man. You left us way too soon Vic but I gotta say WE are the lucky ones for having known you at all. I want to tell you that for years after you passed I used your name as a tool for motivation. When I was running on fumes and had to stomp the flight line day in and day out and I wanted nothing more than to quit and not complete the job...I would say to myself "what would Vic do". It always gave me that extra boost of energy that I needed. It kept me right and kept me working hard...especially when others would fall I was still standing. It helped me get to where I am now and secure a great life and future for myself and my family. For that I thank you. I am no longer dragging my knuckles on the flight line but I have a very rewarding career doing great things for the military. I still use your name for motivation Vic. Thank you. Till next time...
