Trapper was a UPT classmate. Always fun, and hard charging. It would have been hard to keep up with you if you hadn't left us so soon.

Scott was one of my best friends in college. My middle son is named for him. He loved flying

Scott was my best friend and a fellow roommate at the United States Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School, Class 33-81, Pensacola, FL. That's where I met him. He was a hard charger there too. It was hard to see him leave due to getting NPQ'd for eyesight that day. Not sure why his vision wasn't perfect that day. Like a trooper he took it well. Sadly, I never saw or spoke with him again, but I knew military aviation hadn't seen the last of him. I later learned through the Air Force Times of his mishap event. Wasn't the least bit surprised he rose to driving F-16s. Like Edda Zerkel King, my middle son, too is named after Scott. I pray I will meet Scott in Heaven, where we'll fly and explore new worlds. I wear a yellow wrist band with his name on it. It will be on my wrist until the day I die.

Scott was like a brother to me and a member of our family. We went thru pilot training together and we have the greatest of memories with him. Even after all these years we still think of him very often. He once told my wife and I that we had to name our first born son after him and WE DID! Miss you Scott. See ya one day again buddy!
