Frank followed his basic courses in the Netherlands but went to Sheppard AFB To get his education on T-37 and T-38 with the ENJJPT Program. He earned his wings on October 29th, 1989. He was a member of the last class to transition to the NF-5A with 316 sqn. A type on which he accumulated almost 200 hours before transitioning to the F-16. Flew the viper with 306 sqn as a 'recce' bird and accumulated over 800 hours on the type. Flew with the squadron out of Villafranca AB during the Bosnian conflict and earned a NATO medal for this. He died in a car accident not very far from his home at the age of 29.
