A Good Man Down

Jeff worked for me at Torrejon AB Spain and during the Desert Shield/Desert Storm deployment to Doha, Qatar. He was a great crew chief, who always had his aircraft ready. His dedication and integrity made you know that what he said was true and could always be relied on. He will be missed.

See ya Jeff

Jeff worked with me in Gianaclis Air Base, Egypt in 2002. A great guy who was always ready to laugh! And his end of tour video from there was just a hoot! He & I talked motorcycles a lot and I even rode to his house at Hill as he was preparing to move to Luke. I was sorry to have lost track of him over the last couple of years. It's always tough to hear of the loss of a friend, but especially doing something that he and I both liked. See ya Jeff...

Great Guy!

I worked with Jeff at TJ! He was a great worker and a heck of a good friend. Always happy and positive. My heart is broken at his early demise. See ya soon Jeff!

Jeff, you will always be fondly remembered. you took a personal interest in me and helped me through dark times. You were hard but fair and had my respect for your integrity and ability to mentor. I know you passed doing what you love but I gave up that mutual joy and have not regretted it. Thank you Jeff for being the man you are. I hope one day to be half that. Thank you and faewell until we meet again in a better place.

In God's hands now..

I met MSgt. Roll at LAFB, AZ, while in processing my section in Phase. I came to know him as a stern but very respected MSgt. while in the Phase Section. I only heard of incredibly positve remarks throughout the SQ about himand decided he was a good "go to" guy/mentor if you will. Day in and day out he stood for the Air Force Creed and his personality matched his uniform - Sharp! My kudos to his lasting professional impression, work ethics, leadership formula and Flight Chief responsibilites. He lead with an infectious will to get the job done - and who can NOT respect that? My respects to his family; your loss was definitely felt here in the Military too, thank you for allowing us to share a true leader. May he rest in God's Hands.

At TJ Jeff was the roommate of my best friend, Rick Garrie. After Jeff got married and moved out of the AGS dorms, I became Rick's roommate in room 3C3. Several months later I deployed to Qatar with Jeff. In January '91 we had a pool going with about $80 in the pot as I recall. We had to choose what day and time we would be recalled out of our tents to begin generating aircraft.

Jeff won; we were all envious.

This weekend we're having the first reunion of our Gulf War unit from Torrejon, and while it won't be the same without Jeff there with us - we know that he'll always be there with us. We miss you Jeff.
