I was researching my tour in Vietnam in RF-4C's, and came across a photo of Ralph I took at Fort DeRussy, Hawaii as we were deploying 25 aircraft to Tan Son Nhut in 1966.

Although I spent 27 years on active duty, our paths never crossed again, which was too bad. He was a fine young man and deserving of his rank of general.

Unfortunately, it seems "the good, they die young" which was certainly correct in his case.
