| The mini-van was fixed that day, just to late to make the show (canopy switch-inside). We got her loaded with tanks and weapons stations for the flight Tuesday. 223 leaves Wed for Texas. Hope that helps some. |

| I know SSgt. Rogers from Langley was dissapointed. I understood that folks had wanted some air to air imagery but man, it's tough holding on to the camera as well as the jet in those single seaters. Would have made for a nice shot... |

Thank you again for your first-hand info, Ace02! Unfortunately, as you said, we really got zero air-to-air imagery. But please note that USAF released only three shots, taken by SSgt. Samuel Rogers. According to the photo´s VIRIN codes, these shots were:
070620-F-0986R-017.jpg
070620-F-0986R-076.jpg
070620-F-0986R-254.jpg
(Please note: F-0986R must be SSgt. Roger´s current photographer ID)
According to the VIRIN code´s jpg numbers, SSgt. Rogers took a huge lot of some more pictures. Ace02! Have you any private connection to this USAF photographer? If yes, can you ask him for exclusive posting of some more pics on F-16.net? That would be great!
Thanks also to Irunwire who told us that "223" (F-16C block 30 #86-0223) leaved Wednesday for Texas. |

I'll ask him we exchanged cards etc. What I posted is the tip of my own iceberg as well. I'll throw up a few more tomorrow if you'd like. The plan is that it's all part of an ANG/F-22 photo essay that'll be on my website but I'd be happy to throw up more imagery.

Thanks for the additional images from your "own iceberg", Ace02!
Some questions to you and also to Irunwire for the history books and - naturally - at first especially for our F-16 Aircraft Database:
According to your photo proofs, the following three Vipers were involved in the 192nd FW´s (Virginia ANG) last F-16 training mission:
86-0219 F-16C Block 30C
86-0223 F-16C Block 30C, marked 149 FS
86-0231 F-16C Block 30C
According to an official USAF photo (already posted by me in this topic), Maj. Mark Mitchum piloted 86-0223 (marked LTC Keith Wark).
Which individual Vipers were flown by Lt. Col. Mark McCauley and Col. Charles Smith?
From Langley´s public website, I also posted the following info, released by 192nd FW:
Quote:
The 192nd will celebrate its future in the F-22 and honor its proud heritage by conducting a special aerial event to mark the wing's last training mission June 20 with four F-16 Fighting Falcons.
That suggest originally four Vipers were scheduled to make the final training mission.
And so I think, the scheduled fourth aircraft should be:
85-1572 F-16D Block 30B
It was called by Ace02 as "family model" which "is down for repairs."
On June 24, Ace02 posted:
Quote:
I believe that the three jets were TX bound and they were saying that once the "family model" is fixed it'll go to Edwards,
Also on June 24, Irunwire posted:
Quote:

Any further update? |

86-219 was Lt. Col. Mark McCauley which leaves 231 for Col. Smith.
More pics tomorrow. I'll be "PC" and put the Raptor stuff in another thread? |

85-1572 (mini-van) flew to Edwards yesterday, and 86-0223 leaves today around 2 for Carswell. Hope this help some. Great pic of the us launching 86-0231 as is all of your pics Ace02. |

Thanks again for your first-hand info, Ace02 and Irunwire! Any brand-new shot of 85-1572 "mini-van", taken during their last days as VAANG jet? Another question: Was the 192nd FW´s "special aerial event" for both Raptors only a fly-over? So I think, they were 100% from Langley, any tail numbers known?
Ace02! Please think about Asif´s suggestion. Uploading from your PC to our website is very easy. We would be also very grateful for posting some of your related Raptor shots on our F-22 Forum. |

it seems to be easier to load them to a thread than to the photos section. But I'll give it a shot. Yes, J.J. the Raptors just did a flyby. Would have loved to have shot both jets next to each other! ah well.
Till then there's these... |

| Thanks for the Raptor shots, Ace02! For the records: You photographed serial numbers 03-4057, 27th FS, 1st FW, and 04-4065, probably also assigned to the 27th FS. |
