| lol, wow elp, I wasnt expecting a cabalitly rant like that. The stealth issue was already covered, thank you for adressing the engine issue, I never brought up the range or bringback, and you may want to relax a bit when bashing planes. I never liked super bug but it is what there is so I simply try to familiarize yself with it more so I can appreciate what it DOES have, like outstanding turning performance and high alpha controlability. Oh, and a difference of installed engine thrust vs uninstalled of 10% is amazing. F-16 suffers from nearly 20% |

As for the "high alpha" of Super Hornet you are very correct. However against something like big SU, big SU doesn't even have to get in to WVR and can choose not to. Time and technology don't change the issue that where the Japanese said, once the Corsair and P-38 showed up, the Japanese could no longer chose when to fight. Super Hornet is a very nice strike jet for the deck. The carrier air wing needs better with way way more reach. I wouldn't bring up F-16 performance as it can also contempt of engage the Super. What the Super Hornet has become... I can live with, however it needs to be supported by another no-peer air domination airframe. Our current funding roadmap is a freakin disaster, which can only start to be cleaned up after Iraq etc. is decided. JSF is seriously delayed on delivery due to improper funding by those with the control of the money. |

| I agree to that. Even with it's light A2A load the JSF would still be my choice of the two airframes to engage a Su. You cant hit what you cant see, and even if it is not as stealth as -22 it is still better than everything else. |
