Six of 18 damaged F-2s.
Article doesn't mention the other "wet and wild" fixed- and rotary-wing JASDF assets at Matsushima AB.

Finally found a comprehensive list (in Jap) of aircraft types, serial numbers, and conditions of the fixed- and rotary-wing, civilian and military aircraft wiped out at Sendai AP and Matsushima AB.

The Google Translate results look... a bit awkward.
For example, "killed registration" and "peripheral register" are actually "erased registration".

WRT the colours in the first column, blue is OK, yellow is unknown, and red is "wet and wild".
OTOH, the Netter treats the displayed and retired F-86, F-104, &c, as OK.

Was unaware F-2 (Japanese F-16) was still in production in 2011. Hopefully they didn't shut down the line and can still repair/remanufacture some of the quake/tsunami damaged aircraft. Which I strongly suspect is the least of Japan's concerns right now. Shocked

6 if the damaged 18 will be repaired, the other 12 are SOL.

JASDF calendar 2012.
Seems the cover features two F-2s, each with four ASMs.
