How to keep warm (Procedures, The Stupid Way):
1: Recover a jet that has a small leak near the fuel shutoff-valve hatch, or in that compartment.
2: don't wear a facemask (we did when launching/recovering jets at 331/334 RNoAF)
3: stand directly under the fuel shutoff-valve hatch with your mouth open
4: disregard the fact that you can see fuel dripping
5: open the hatch and get a good splash of fuel in your face.
6: swallow the fuel that gets into your mouth because of #3 and #5
7: Run like #!("/&¤ hell for the linehouse, hoping to reach the can there before your gut sends you into space
8: Yell YEEEEHAAAAW when you do the first intercontinental/interstellar travel riding a toilet.

You'll be warm and fuzzy, at least a little while Razz Other parts of you will feel like they're on fire for even longer. And yes, I am speaking from personal experience here Laughing

Best tip for staying warm......MAKE RANK! The best position would be the # 2 guy.... i.e. "red x bitch." the expiditer is a cool job but you take a lot of heat sometimes for stuff out of your imediate control. #2 guy sits in passenger seat with the heat blowing on him only gets out for 5 minutes of so to sign off forms. pretty much looks out for things that could happen that the expiditer might miss. it is a very important job that sets the tone for the entire shift. A bad # 2 man can ruin a flight!
