| What about "Tidy Friday" for making sure everything is cleaned up for the weekend and "tuck and roll" when you have to jump out of the expeditor truck to catch your jet. |

Bleeding hydraulics is "Burping" the system.
Cutting away excess dead rubber on a tire so the pilot doesn't panic is called "Giving it a haircut".
Landing gear retraction test is a "Gear swing" or "Swinging the gear".
Anyone ever done a "YooHoo" check? |

Sometimes we call the external tanks - "Bags".
I have called the flightline the "frightline". Not too far from the truth when there are alot of newbies afoot...
Doing an intake inspection was always called "shootin' the tube".
I have heard more than one pilot call the brakes "binders". |

| One Slang we learned in Tech school was "PFM" = Pure F*ckin magic. Our Instructor used that when we asked something he didn't know. I still use that alot. Comes in handy in the real world also. |

- "Chipperizing" the line before we "punch" was used to say, straighten the line, and fire bottles, lace the chalks, before anyone leaves. Usually a swing shift function
- "Water Buffalo"was used for the ever popular 30 day fresh water rinse.
- "Break it down" means open and prepare for first flight of day.

Not all of them are. Just the ones after 86-0261. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the serial number. |

| It looks like you guys took all the F-16 slang but the Tomcats are called aluminum clouds and salvaged scrap parts are called "Hangar Queens". |

Since we are straying from F-16 exclusive terminology...
I always liked "BOHICA" (pronounced BO-HEE-CA)

| While teaching an F-16 egress class this morning I remembered an old one on the seat. The ejection arming handle is sometimes called the "thumb smasher". |
