| I never knew they had originally used a Stearman for that scene. I wondered why it was going so slow. If that was the case, then they must've had to reshoot all the scenes with Randy Quaid. Thers no way a Stearman would've lasted three seconds in that battle. |

The theory was that they had one maverick left behind and when Quaid was winchester he went back, but his plane crashed on landing, so he had it strapped with duct tape to the side of the aircraft. When he calls out that he has one missile left he is shown leaning out of the cockpit and patting the missile!

Dr. Strangelove - fantastic movie. How about adding 'Fail Safe' to the list, the original, not the Clooney lunacy.
Beyond that, how about the bizzare kids movie 'D.A.R.Y.L.'? I loved the 'digital' cockpit on the Blackbird, and the Mk. A7 ejection seat masquerading as the SR-1.
Just watched 'X2' and saw a couple of -16s in that one. Seems to me any pilot worth his salt woulda bugged out a lot earlier with that many funnel clouds in the area. Any missile launched in that environment would get knocked out by the wind shear...

Never noticed. All I remember seeing was Rebecca Romjin-Stamos in blue body paint... |

Back in the day, the Blackbird was unchanged in design from the Lockheed SR-71. I still have an issue with the jet flying knife edge down 5th Ave in the city.
Anyone remember the 'Warlord' comics? I had to buy a couple issues recently off eBay to replace the ones I lost in a flood. Had to have the issye where The Warlord uses the ejection seat from his crashed jet to eliminate a giant serpant...

Yeah, but it left little to the imagination
Oh really? I never did see the X-Men Blackbird in its unchanged state. But then again I only started collectiong comins in the late 80's, when the regular shape of the SR-71 was no longer flashy enough for the comic book reading nerds like me
But I think it's bollocks, the only shape I love more than the F-16s is the Blackbird's |

gotta mention 'Sum of all Fears' cuz I work on the F-16s in that movie. They changed the tail numbers, but I work on 'em! |

| Oh, I didn't know that they even used any. The fact that they were trying to pass off Bennifer as Jack Ryan totally turned me off. |

I totally agree with Habu about Catherine Bell, wow!
Speaking about JAG, did anyone watch the episode in which the hero pushes a Tomcat with the refuelling probe of his own Tomcat? I found it a great moment of aviation !
You guys need to do a web search on a subject called "Pardo's Push". It tells about an actual event during the Vietnam War where one F-4 pilot pushed another F-4 to friendly territory. |

Even they don't employ F-16s, another couple of good flying movies are "The Great Santini" and John Wayne in "Jet Pilot.
