When I posted on 14 Oct about staying on topic, I meant it.
Although I'll be the first to admit I do miss a few posts here and there and I don't check in every day, as a moderator, I have to read most to all posts that I reasonably can. To see some of the usual suspects "hijacking" this thread, i.e. focusing on the Typhoon as if it's the main topic must be discouraging to an outsider or new visitor to the F-22 forum who probably could give a sh*t less.
This topic was created before I became a moderator so it stood. "VS" topics in the F-22 forum will not stand any longer. Why? Because "VS" has proven time and time again to only invite and encourage arguments and for someone to "prove" something. Maybe fun for those involved to get their jollies off, but not so for moderators and I'm sure the webmasters don't appreciate the negative views or reputation such discussions can bring from anybody else that might be viewing.
So instead of a “VS” in the topic, I’d recommend wording the topic as "Comparison between the F-22 and aircraft X's whatever". That way, the topic clearly focuses on the F-22's whatever compared to aircraft X's whatever.
Want to talk about the F-22 compared to aircraft X on something else? Guess what...start another topic, not hijack the other one.
As for this one, it's closed. Like I said on the 14th, if you want to keep focusing on the Typhoon and want to keep specifically talking about it, go start a new Typhoon topic in the "Modern Military Aircraft" forum where it belongs. Don't ruin the F-22 Raptor Forum for others. |
