| Here I am in Qatar...I wanna say circa early 2002. There were no fighters there yet and everyone was still in the tents. The command had not moved there yet...>Check |

| Here are a couple. The first is from my active duty days, in Korea. The second is recent, with me at my new job. |

| Are you an FE on a Herc now? Sweet, I cross trained out of that about a year and a half ago. Awesome job. |

Yep, currently in school at LR. Just about to start the flying phase, wrapping up all the sim work this week. How long were you an FE, and what prompted you to cross train out? Guessing your unit went to J's, judging by your "location" tag |

No I wasn't an FE, I was a load (what I meant was I crossed trained out of the Herc). But I am a private pilot, so I know a lot about the FE job, hell my best friends here are all FE's. Man, the school house brings back some memories. Do you know any of the Loadmaster instructors down there? If you do, give MSgt Pinrod some sh!t for me (he is a great guy). I loved the job, and flying, but on a deployment I messed up my wrist and had to have surgery. My application for a pilot's slot seemed to have been put on indefinite medical hold after that, so I went trained into another job in ops. I like the new job though, I still get to work with all my old friends.
Actually I have a couple of buddies there (or on their way there) doing Nav training. If you see a tall skinny blond haired Lt dude with glasses wearing a 169th AS patch (the orange one with the indian), inform him that the intel shop is no place to be playing XBox 360 during an ORI (he'll know what you are talking about), and next time we'll be playing it on a 50 inch plasma we got in the shop.
If you haven't figured it out already, the strip clubs around LR suck. The Paper Moon, I think that is what it is called, brings back painful memories. A stripper smashed my face there, and I had a black eye for like two weeks afterwards. Anyway, have fun at the Rock, and good luck. |

As you can see I failed the medical for the Royal Navy, but luckily the Royal Air Force will take just about anyone.
This is in my younger days before I became a systems specialist. |

I tried to post a pic from my Corps days but I haven't got the hang of two pics in the same message! Taken here in Reno not even a month ago.
BTW - That's me on the left! |
