I was at MacDill shortly after 82', I thought we didn't convert to Falcons until approximately 82', didn't we still Phantoms at that time? Falcon rally was at MacDill that year? You could see this SR-71 from the freeway in SOCAL, I've seen it many times. If I remember, it was amidst many other aircraft in the yard. The engines were removed.

. A lot of people lose sight of when the A-12 and SR-71 were designed and built - it's '50s and '60s tech.

The engines are removed and it's just the spikes in the front and the wooden panels in the exhausts now, sorry to disappoint.

Just a few pics from TDY to Iraq. Pack and Crate for damaged falcon. In and out in no time!!

I will try and post a few of myself, but every time I try to post, my images don't upload properly. Anyway here goes.

One is of me in a FULCRUM (trying to look bada$$). I have one of me in a FLOGGER (again trying my hardest to look bada$$). The one in the desert is me (upper left) after flying into Al Asad (or Al Taqadum) right after we took it, or secured it, don't remember. And just for sh!ts and giggles, one of me trying to look bada$$ before a huge paintball game while I was down at Tyson McGhee ANG base.
