I was there for red flag in 1999 when Tiger Woods rode with the Thunderbirds and he lasted 15 minutes before releasing his lunch.

The 113th DCANG has flown Brad Johnson-Buccaneeers QB/Redskins QB, Heath Shuler Redskins QB, and Donnie Neumberger who is a Busch series driver. We have flown others like Mayor Anthony Williams who equated his ride to a DC Dump truck-nice I know. Evil or Very Mad

yes

he also owns a f-86.

Roger that, he flew with the T-Birds at Edwards's Open House , I think 99 or 00?

It was a 2 day show. Saturday Danny Divito (TAXI) flew as well. Mr Dorn flew Sunday.

BTW, he sold his F-86 some years ago. I had him sign a Hasegawa 48th F-86 Model I brought with me. I also have a pic my buddy Rig (Rigamortis on this board) of him & I (and US) right before he flew his Sabre out.

He actually had a T-33 a few years ago when he brought it to Miramar.

Him and Bruce Boxlitner got rides. Both were at the 97 "Falcon Rejoin" 25th Ann of the F-16 here at Edwards.

My Dolye was very cool, shootin the sh*t with us and all. Bruce wouldn't give us the time of day.

Bruce Willis was the same way when they were shooting the parts of Armageddon here as well.

Yeah, it was pretty bad weather.
Oh yeah, I remember that! You're talking about Erin Murray. Still lots of bad press lingering around on her, even years after she left! Her Ex Mark (quite, but cool guy) still works Civil Service at Shadow on the Orange & White Vipers.

She was in the Coleman with Geo when he put down the parking brake, and for what ever reason here hand was there (Many think, holding hands in the first place Laughing ) and it snipped off the tip of her finger - Ouch!

That was the night before all the jets left and we were servicing them all up. Damn, it felt like doing 2 wings of jets!

Enforcer, are you still at Edwards. Does OP's still have that picture of my jet on the wall when you walk in the lobby? 80-0557

Sure am, but I'm at Raptor these days. I get tasked to "Squirrel World" once in a while.

There's still pics of a lot of the jets, including 557 on the walls still, as well as the offices.

557 is going out to pasture though, if it hasn't already gone. I can remember working that hog. Being a C model conversion, it was a Pointy head nightmare at times, or so they said anyways.

Shadow now has some of the flight test jets, including 119, my old jet 359, 0082, and a handful of others.

Craig T. Nelson was invited to be the VIP guest at a TPS graduation I attended. (he played Col Raynor Sarnac in "Call to Glory").

He got a viper ride that day that suffered a dual avionics fault at the extreme north edge of the 2508 complex. Airspeed was limited to something like 200 kts alllllll the way home. That night during his speech he related the story as only an actor can. I can't remember what he said, but I laughed my ^$$ off!

He was a pretty cool guy, especially after his humbling ride in a broken Viper.

What did they do to deserve a ride?

Craig T. Nelson IS a cool guy! I wish I had thought of that incident when I was naming off a few celeb riders.

I believe the man owns his own plane, but he's a lot like like Paul Newman, or one of the Unsers. If there is anything with an engine that can go fast, he's ridden in it, or piloted it himself. Planes, race cars, powerboats, you name it. A great guy, and he's very supportive of the troops (always a plus with me).

Beers and MiGs were made to be pounded!
