Yeah, I figured that the F-35 had something to do with it. However, even though the F-35 can hold more bombs, the F-117 is more stealthy.

Interesting...and you know this how?

B-2 is cool but nobody I know really wants to fly it. LOOOONG boring sorties where you never see your target, pickle on coordinates.

I don't claim to know... but I can speculate! Smile Different design principles and stealth concepts at play. In my view, one is a multi-role fighter maximizing on the newest and latest stealth technology without penalizing too much the performance and price tag. The other, while older, was designed specifically for stealth without to much regard for flight performance or price. Making the F-117 fly was the second half of the design stage.
Also, reducing IR emissions from the engine of the F-117 was a primary criterion that I don’t think the F-35 has fully capitalized on. I still think the design concept of the F-117 is genious and it will be around until a suitable replacement (F-35?) or advancements in detection make it obsolete (the plane, not the design concepts).

500 hours minimum fighter time, and it helps the have the 117 squadron ask for you by name (call and talk to the sq cc or do). Those were the requirements about 4 years ago. Don't know if they changed at all.

i like how you said, the squadron since they only have 1... kinda interesting...

Terrible price tag being able to fit only one person in that cockpit Twisted Evil

I have to say though, the scar in pic 2 is disgusting. If she looked like that I think id have to bag her face. It doesnt even look like a scar. The makeup artist is terrible. It looks like a pimple cell growing to take over her head.
