| No fixes, just go ahead and fly and hope it does not show up again and kill you. |

Or they has fix it , and some secret upgrade ?
Secret upgrade might definitely be a possibility. But, there has to be an explanation for the Alaska crash. Did the pilot have a heart attack or stroke? OBOGS? hmmmmm..... |

| My 3rd floor office faces Langely and I'm enjoying the sounds of the whistle from the F-22. They started flying very limited last week but because of a very low ceiling I didn't see my first plane until 3 days ago. It would appear they are almost back to the previous numbers of planes in the air during the day. |

I remember those! They were referred to as "Ranger Candy." We kept a bottle in the platoon desk that us NCOs would pass around after a road march. |

| Ah, good old Ranger Candy. I look at civilian Motrin in 200 mg doses and they say not to take more than 3 at a time. No way. |

Some good news has come out of the standdown. A lot of the required mods and upgrades were completed as well as valuable training for wrenches that they'd not normally get until a specific MX action was required. The best news, however, is that LM and the LO guys in Langley came up with improved LO materials and the development of form-in panels that do not require LO restore after panel access.
Some MX actions require ten times less time and jets are back "in days earlier than before". All of this is great news and hopefully it means they'll get the jet up to the 85% MC rate they've been wanting to achieve.

| Good to know they put the fleet's downtime to good use. One wonders why those panels weren't designed for easier maintainability in the first place.. at least we see the F-35 has benefited from lessons learned with the Raptor. |
