Got the nickel tour of the upgraded C-5 today. Glass cockpit, GE CF-6 engines, new APU's, changed cargo bay lighting to fluorescent very bright now. Still has the big orange 20 foot long pitot tube on it. Probably make a great lightning rod with the nose up.
They blew a hydraulic line in the #4 gear and dumped the the entire contents of the #4 hydraulic system all over the belly. Stopped here instead going up to Marietta.
Doing all the B-models in this config. A models still not funded (and doubt they ever will be, if they even keep them.) |
