I'd like to "thank" Akruse21 for the squadron tour and dinner arrangements he made for my family and I during my recent visit to England, he was greatly appreciated.
I made some new friends and had a wonderful adventure (and dinner), the group photo above was taken at a pub called the Flying Fortress (an old US airfield used by B-17s in WWII). It was nice to tour the U.K. again and meet these folks. |

akruse21 - this is for you and the 493rd (as requested).....
I have sent the information to the Lt as requested, she wanted any information surrounding the new life of the 493rd FS (F-15). Here is all the information I could find, most of it is in my EPR/APR.
For those that are not aware, I was asked for this so please dont misunderstand this as bragging (I am not) but I am sharing with you in case her email fails, please give this to her on behalf of the "old" 493rd FS.
