I figured that cost was going to be the issue regarding the engines. It takes more money and heavier modifications to reengine a plane than it does to upgrade the existing engines. As the old saying goes, "If it ain't broke..."

I will never forget seeing the T-38's in the pattern at SHEPPARD AFB during Tech school. I was so impressed with how quickly they stood it on the wings when banking. Very impressive lil'bird...
