Awwwww, c'mon, Link-breath!!!

I can't hate the sucker.

I just think of the guncam pics of Hornets doing their last ditch maneuver whilst gunning the dude's brains out.

Dunno why they don't use the nose hose, but I understand the gee-suit excuse they use for flying tight formation.

later,

From the Life Support point of view...one less thing to maintain! Wink

Plus, as Meathook said, they keep their demos below 12K, so there's really no need for it. Just stick in a boom mike, and go for it!

On their X-Country or international flights, I'm not sure if they take along a mask, in order to fly over 12K at a lower fuel consumption altitude. Would make sense to do so. Meathook, could you confirm/deny that?

Jorgo, you're a lucky dog!

Yep, I can, if they fly above 10K or go cross country above 10K...the mask goes on, it is both an FAA and military requirement. no doubt about it and as many of you know, T-Birds use O2 all the time, that too is just a fact.

I am sure Jorgo had one hell'va a time, of that I am sure too ...good on ya, I will never forget my rides...none of us that got a fighter ride would Thumb

Thanks Meathook. That's what I thought made the most sense. Also, I recall seeing some footage of the Blues refuelling on an international flight once, and IIRC, I saw them wearing masks.

That's when you know you're looking at some odd footage. All 6 Blues' jets with 3 bags a piece, and the drivers wearing masks.

The best part of the flight (apart from witnessing brilliant flying) was simply being treated like a valued member of the team. They guys and girls go above and beyond, to make you truly feel welcome. That alone counted for much of the day. Very Happy

Nice, I have a GREAT VIDEO of mine too...I even enjoyed getting hosed at the end, the water felt great, I was sweating like crazy, their AC is the pitts (least compared to the F16 system).
